If you haven't been to Momofuku in the East Village and had their Bo Ssam, you need to. Its so freaking good.

How is it possible the weather is so gorgeous? And how is it possible January is almost over?
This Versailles Domed Burlap chair from Restoration Hardware is cozy and perfect.
It arrived! I ordered this decal for my bathtub. Loves.
Every time I wander, I end up on Canal Street.
Cheers to another start of the week!

John Steinbeck on Falling in Love
This is perfect- the Nobel Prize winner and author of The Grapes of Wrath on the importance of waiting for love. Read full article here.
I love how he writes "And don't worry about losing. If it is right, it happens -- The main thing is not to hurry. Nothing good gets away."
I wish everyone a lovely weekend.

Passive Aggressive Notes
I love reading through Passive Aggressive Notes. I'm a pretty direct gal and passive aggression makes me shake my head. (Except when children do it, then its super cute.)
"You should spend more time with me but I love you anyway. Happy Birthday Dad."
"Mom, Dad I love you but you can't cut my hair. If you do I will never forgive you. I love my hair and guess you don't love me enough to do what I want for a change. My heart. Buckets of my tears."
"Dear Mrs. McMahon, Your a good teacher but not my most favorite."
Have a great day!

CES Photo Accessories
There was much talk about CES last week and I'm a little exited.
Here are some cool iPhone accessories.

Mosy Mount, a tripod-mountable adapter that offers stability without being too clunky.
Olloclip for iPhone equips the camera to shoot in one of three modes—fisheye, wide angle and macro.
Apex Series of goggles with a built-in HD camera.

Eight-Layer Mediterranean Dip
Sometimes I like forgetting things. When you remember, it's a new discovery all over again.
I used to make this recipe all the time in 2009. It's time to bring it back.
stay warm

Eight-Layer Mediterranean Dip
Ingredients
1 (8-ounce) container hummus
1 cup firmly packed baby spinach, roughly chopped
1 cup thinly sliced roasted red peppers, drained
1 (6-ounce) jar marinated artichoke hearts, drained and roughly chopped
1 cup plain lowfat or nonfat Greek-style yogurt
1/2 cup sliced pitted black olives, such as Kalamata
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
Pita chips
Find full recipe here
P.S - This one is a little different, and looks good too!

A Place to Lay My Heart
Love this modern love essay in the NY Times.
"...but since my decision to move to New York, through the four years during which I bought an apartment, was promoted at work and settled into routines, I had slowly become ready. And with this man, I saw, I wouldn’t be tied down so much as tied together."
That's All She Wrote
Role the credits. I'm done for the week.
I wish everyone a wonderful weekend.

Genius!
Genius! I like it.
More genius here.
Much love,

Overhaul your linen cupboard – store bedlinen sets inside one of their own pillowcases and there will be no more hunting through piles for a match.
Turn your muffin pan upside down, bake cookie-dough over the top and voila – you have cookie bowls for fruit or ice-cream
Forever losing your bathroom essentials? Use magnetic strips to store bobby pins (and tweezers and clippers) behind a vanity door

Successful Saturday
Gorgeous weather made for those type of NYC days when you can't believe people would live anywhere else. With a hint of retail therapy, made for a successful Saturday.
Kate Spade Hi 5 Mittons - I thought these were so cute before the holidays. When I saw them again on sale, I couldn't resist.
I found myself at Grand Central Terminal on a Saturday to check out the new Apple Store. Throught the rush, you forget how beautiful it is.
The great thing about Bryant Park is it forgot (or doesn't care) the holiday are over. I kinda love it.
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

Blending Blast
I'm always swapping smoothie recipes. What can I say? I like to blend.
My go-to is always this one:
Light shake:
• Blend 1 cup skim (or soy, almond, rice, or hemp) milk
• 1 cup berries
• 1 tsp peanut butter (or flaxseed oil)
• 1 cup of ice
Blend until frothy
Bonus:
Add a dash of cocoa powder!
But I like this one, this one, and this one.
xoxo

Successful Saturday
This successful Saturday I spent the day using and loving some of the gifts I received over the holidays.
I hope everyone enjoyed their New Years Eve and is excited for what 2012 will bring.
Much love,
k.o
My beautiful friend D (who had a tremendous 2011) brought back this journal for me from her travels in Asia. I can't wait to use it this year!
My Aunt Ilene gave me this pin for Christmas that belonged to my grandma (her mom). She replaced a missing stone with my birthstone. Words can't describe my adoration.
My sister gave me wine cork candles for Christmas and I've already burned through two. I love them so much!
