Mad for Plaid

I have a thing for plaid. I also have a slight obsession with anything Scandinavian. Which is why I was so excited to find this throw blanket made by Amana Woolen Mill. Read more about their story here.

I selected, of course, the Nordic Pattern Wool Throw Blanket in Navy/Lt Blue. It came yesterday, looks great and keeps me cozy during these NYC winters.

Girl Moves to NYC, Still Alive

This just in: Girl Moves to NYC, Still Alive.

I recently returned from a quick trip home to North Dakota and was overwhelmed by how "she lives in NYC" is the singular descriptive comment I receive followed by an unhinged state of bewilderment.

Therefore, I have decided to build a bridge between the two; North Dakota and New York City, and showcase the other cities I lived along the way (Minneapolis, Chicago). People, events, food, lessons, and sense of self were all found.

Beauty can be found in the utmost surprising of places.
